How to improve sterilization effect of autoclave
2023-07-14 18:24

High pressure steam sterilizer is a rapid and reliable disinfection and sterilization equipment that uses saturated pressure steam to sterilize items. It is suitable for medical and health undertakings, scientific research, agriculture and other units. According to the style and size, it is divided into portable autoclave, vertical pressure steam sterilizer, horizontal high pressure steam sterilizer, etc.

Methods to improve the sterilization effect of high pressure steam sterilizer:

1. The volume of the sterilized items should not be too large, nor should they be placed too much or too tightly, so as not to affect the steam penetration.

2. Items that are not heat-resistant and items that are corrosive to metal should not be sterilized.

3. For uncapped bottled solutions, before sterilization, the bottle mouth should be tightly closed with a heat-resistant rubber stopper, and then several layers of gauze should be used to press the bottle stopper, and the gauze should be fixed outside the neck of the bottle with a rope.

4. When the sterilization starts, be sure to remove the air in the device. Otherwise, the reading on the pressure gauge will be the sum of the pressures of air and water vapor. As a result, although the pressure reaches the specified value, the temperature does not meet the requirement.

5. After the sterilization is terminated, fast deflation, slow deflation and natural cooling can be performed according to the different properties and requirements of the sterilized items.

Due to the different types, volumes, densities and thermal conductivity of sterilized items, the required sterilization time and pressure are also different. If the volume density of the object is high and the thermal conductivity is poor, the sterilization time can be extended appropriately. Generally speaking, the temperature of the innermost layer must reach 121°C and last for a period of time in order to achieve good sterilization effect.
